Student Showcase: Shakespearean Sonnets!

Being thoroughly engrossed in Romeo and Juliet, the Year 9 English Literature class spent some time towards the end of last term putting together some strongly worded letters for dear old Romeo.

Whilst they all came out visually catching, a particularly enthusiastic student went so far as to write the entire letter as a fully fledged sonnet, featuring not only the tell-tale iambic pentameter, but ABAB rhyming.

Perhaps if Romeo had received these lovely letters, his fate may have turned out differently – although perhaps Shakespeare knew best.
