Santa’s Shoebox 2020
As people may know, the annual Santa’s Shoebox is happening at the moment. There is a Christmas tree near the reception with name tags hanging on it. The name tags specify details of different children.
To participate, get a tag from the tree and put together a shoebox for the child on the tag. Information about age, clothing size, etc. will be on the tag.
Hand it in to your form tutor classroom when it is finished.
The shoebox must have:
- Toothpaste
- Tooth brush
- Bar of soap
- Wash cloth
- Clothing
- Educational supplies
- Sweets
- A toy
Also preferably a reusable shopping bag for carrying the shoebox.
Please NO:
- Perishable food,
- Sweets with nuts,
- Medicine or vitamins,
- Violence related toys (e.g. a toy gun)
- Anything political, religious or racial in nature.
Extra info:
- All items must be new.
- Put liquids or chocolates in a ziplock bag.
- Include batteries for toys that require them.
- You can definitely make more than one shoebox if you want.
- If you want to wrap the box, wrap the lid and box separately and don’t wrap individual items.
Please help the Community Service Portfolio add a little joy to someone’s Christmas!
