Termly Concert
On the evening of the 25th of February, microphones and guitar stands stood on the stage eagerly waiting for performers to come up and show their talents. The dungeon was dimly lit, shining the spotlight solely on the performer.
Guitarists and violinists plucked and bowed away at their strings with intent and purpose. Pianists hands’ passionately swept along the white and black keys of the piano. Vocalists, flutists and clarinet players moved the audience with their melodic pipes.
A classic Michael Jackson throwback performance of Billie Jean, needing no introduction, left the audience members, young and old alike, swinging along.
Every piece was an incredible showcase of the talent and passion that every student had. Some pieces had an air of light heartedness which carried into the audience and some created a devastatingly beautiful atmosphere with their harmonic dissonance.
The awe and appreciation for the musical performances from the audience was palpable; many of which were supportive parents, siblings and friends, cheering their performers on proudly from the seats in front of the stage.
Overall the termly concert was an incredible event organised by Mr E, the cultural portfolio and of course the AV team. A great way to begin the season of musical performances for the year!
