Shavathon!
On the 23rd of February, ISCT partook in the most colourful cancer-research fundraiser around: the CANSA Shavathon. Somewhat misleadingly named, no shaving of hair took place; however, plenty of new multicoloured hairdos were dispensed by the Community Service portfolio.
The day started with a lovely assembly by the aforementioned portfolio and the first of three rounds of hair dyeing. Tonnes of students participated in the truly heartwarming show of solidarity and generated a significant amount of fundraising, as students could choose to wear civvies on the day for a small fee.
Overall, the day was not just fun, but meaningful – showing the tangible difference we can make for good when we work together. If you would like to make a personal donation you can find the link here.
