Valentine’s Day 2022
ISCT came together again to celebrate another joyous Valentine’s Day. The high school had a civvies day with the theme of formal wear, specifically in colors pink, red, and white, to amplify the Valentine’s day atmosphere. The day started off with a Valentine-themed bakesale during first break, with several delicious goodies to choose from.
The fundraising portfolio organized a rose exchange for the whole high school, where fellow peers could send roses to each other. The group went to chart farm on the Sunday before Valentine’s day and hand-picked more than 300 roses for the event. The students’ smiles glistened across the school when the Year 12 Cupids handed everybody their roses.
During the last period, we had the annual Valentine’s day assembly organized by the cultural portfolio. Julia and Arin, the cultural portfolio leaders, set up several interactive games for the audience to play including The Newlywed game, The Bachelor, and Guess the Song for Candy. Water guns came into play to punish wrong answers in the newlywed game to create a fun splash. The kids jumped with excitement as candy was thrown to winners in the crowd, and music blasted through the speakers. I can speak for everyone when I say the whole experience was highly diverting and amusing.
