UCT Phenomenal Physics 2025
I recently had the pleasure of joining 8 of my peers—as well as two staff members—on an outing to the UCT hosted Phenomenal Physics. I won’t wax lyrical on the ins and outs of the day as I have a feeling that is a rabbit hole from which I will only emerge on the other side of 2,000 words. So in short: we spent the better part of this Wednesday past being greatly entertained—and educated—by both the brilliant showcases put on by the lecturers and students of the UCT Physics department, as well as our own tour to see some truly fascinating machines in the Geology and Civil Engineering departments. I will let the photographs below tell a far better story—one without tangents—than I could.
A truly massive thank you to both the staff at ISCT as well as the organisers and scientists at UCT who took time out of their very busy schedules to make this all possible.
