Founders’ Day 2025

On Saturday the 25th October 2025, our school celebrated our annual Founders Day, celebrating 27 years of ISCT! This celebration was truly one to remember, with many attractions such as: market day, a thrift store, and food trucks. At the entrance we got a warm and vibrant welcome by the lovely display of the students’ artwork in the library and the number of delicious food vendors by the gates.
The event first started with the Year 8 market day, which was a total success. It had a variety of stalls from jewellery and crochet items, to cold drinks and baked goods. Besides the market day, some of our classes hosted games and activities such as water gun fights, batik patterns, and the very amusing, though absolutely rewarding, “bite the donut” game. It was a truly lively event thanks to the efforts of the students and staff.
A highlight of the day was the performances from our very talented students, such as Struben House’s “StruBees”, along with KS2’s Nightingales. All of this was followed by our high school students playing in their bands, alongside staff, and singing in their vocal ensembles.
Lastly, to the main event this Founders Day, our annual flag procession began with every student walking with their countries’ flag around the bottom field. It was a wholesome moment of each and every student proudly representing and displaying their culture. As the flag bearers headed towards the start of the final march; everyone settled down to watch. Flags were raised from Angola all the way to Zimbabwe, with many different countries in between such as Indonesia, South Korea, all represented by our students; finally ending the ceremony with South Africa.
This Founders Day was truly memorable and amazing, filled with school spirit and pride for everyone: the parents, staff and students were all amazed. We had spectacular performances, beautifully curated stalls and delicious food. We can only wait in excitement for Founders Day ‘26.
