Athletics Day 2025

Last week Wednesday, the ISCT’s high school held their annual Athletics Days. Despite the bleak weather in the morning, the day’s events continued on as normal with the first event being the Senior Boy’s mile. A proud moment for one of Titan’s Junior girls, Jess. Born with cerebral palsy, the movement of her legs can be limited but that did not stop Jess on Sport’s Day completing 400m around the track, securing Titan with another point as the house hoped to reclaim the trophy, they had one the year prior.

Track events soon commenced after this while the house captains got their houses together for some cheering with Draco surprising us all with their new arrangement of chants. Events such as shot put and vortex were also happening at this point where both the records for Senior Boys and Girls Vortex and Junior Girls Vortex were broken by Pierre, Matida and Mackenzie from Titan! 

Orion was also breaking records on the track with Jente breaking the Senior Girl’s records for the 400m, completing the distance in 1 minute and 10 seconds! The Orion Senior girls also completed the 4x100m relay in only 1 minute and 3 seconds breaking the previous record for that race too.

At the end of the day, however, there could only be one winner of the day and while Draco walked away with the Spirit Cup, it was Titan who won Athletics Day. 

As of right now, the points for the House Cup are Draco in first with 294 points, Titan in second with 244 points and finally Orion in third with 195 points. With the Inter-House Basketball right around the corner, we will see what happens next.
