Founders Day
On the 25th of October, both students and parents celebrated the 26th anniversary of ISCT with our annual Founders Day celebration! The celebration had many amazing attractions like face painting stations and various market style vending stalls where you could buy delicious food such as: boerewors rolls, shawarma, tacos, burritos, nachos, waffles, crepes, boba tea and more. We were graced with beautiful musical performances given by the ISCT students. These performances ranged from songs to guitar and piano.
The Founders Day celebration wouldn’t be complete without our signature event: the flag procession. We at ISCT hold immense pride in the diversity of our school. We have students and staff from all over the world and we celebrate the beauty of our rainbow community. Students from all grades walked with their respective flags and we heard the national anthem from each of those countries. With the order going alphabetically, the ISCT community has people from countries such as Australia, China, Botswana, DRC, South Korea, Portugal and many more.
This year we had a different approach towards our anniversary celebration. We had our Founders Day event from 14:00-17:30 and at 17:30 we started a talent show to display the various skills and talents our students have. We were shown performances ranging from singing to dancing to instruments playing from students of all ages and grades.
This year’s Founders Day was amazing for students, staff, and parents. We had wonderful food, amazing performances, and relished in the atmosphere of pride and gratitude. We are all excited to see what next year’s event brings!
