Popup concert

On the 20th of October, our new cultural heads arranged their first popup concert. By second break everything was set up, music was prepared and performers were ready. 

Teachers, along with both key stage two and high school students alike, gathered below the stage, clapping along to the beat of the songs, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

We began with a lovely flute piece by Genevieve, and, after a short musical interlude, Inaya demonstrated talent on the guitar, playing ‘Senorita’. Both grade 7’s were impressive.

For the finale, a few grade 11s, alongside the cultural heads, Nowethu and Danielle, went up on stage to sing a rendition of ‘Mamma Mia’ by ABBA for the school. After breaks of practice and preparation, the end result was brilliant.

Congratulations to the new cultural heads for that wonderful fist break-time concert – we’d love to see more in the future!
