Y9 Movie awards
The event was opened with a ‘before’ party at 6pm. The parents of the year 9s were invited into the building first where they were served with drinks and delicious food. Thereafter, the year 9s walked the red carpet into the Nassau center building and a paparazzi scene surrounded the esteemed guests.
Drinks, food and interviews were on the menu for young filmmakers. Most of the year 9s were asked questions about their movie making process.
The guests entered the Nasau center building filled with excitement and anticipation for the films to be presented. The night started with Mr James’ address to the audience. The first movie that the year 9s had made in term 2, The Wasp, was projected on to the screen.
This was followed by Ms Fisher’s witty speech and introduction to the guest judges, Monde, Candace Johanas, Antonio Chinchele and Bella Park. Seeing that Bella and Monde weren’t available for the event, their addresses to the year 9s were projected on to the screen.
