CANSA Shavathon 2024

On Friday the 1st of March, ISCT celebrated the 2024 in-school CANSA Shavathon led by the Community Service Portfolio. The non-profit CANSA organisation has been a leader in the fight against cancer since 1931 and their mission is to enable research, educate the public and advocate for and support all people affected by cancer. ISCT has supported this organisation for a number of years, and this year the drive’s slogan was ‘be colourfully kind’. 

The Community Service Portfolio hosted an outdoor highschool assembly describing the work of the CANSA organisation, and then starting with the hair spraying. Many KS1, KS2 and highschool students showed their solidarity by spraying their hair in wonderful different colours and contributing towards the cause’s fund by paying for civvies. ISCT hopes to support this initiative for many years to come, and we are so glad that we could make a difference in our community.
