Rewritten – ISCT’s 2020 Musical
With everyone looking forward to the play that is happening on Thursday and Friday the 13th and 14th of March, every preparation is being made. The actors are working hard for the event and the teachers in charge can really be appreciated at the moment. The ISCT original major production of 2020 – Rewritten – is on the way.
The outcome of many an-afternoon’s practice is somewhat like a fairytale, and somehow not at the same time. A lot of effort (and a lot of -un) has gone into the enthralling characters who are far from ordinary or boring – classic with a bit of spunk – and to an unexpected story that makes every twist and turn exciting. The show includes what’s to be expected and what’s not…and hopefully what can be expected by the actors if everything goes smoothly for them. The whole thing is really brought alive by the songs that are sung by the characters, and the dance numbers that make everything come together. The musical performances definitely made the cast and those involved smile on many occasions.
All that can be hoped for is that the audience has as much fun watching the play as we did rehearsing it. It’s finally come together (after a little bit of chaos, confusion and plenty of giggling and jokes). Our hard work has luckily been spent on what we all enjoy.
Free up or keep open your Thursday or Friday night to come watch us perform at Simon Van Der Stel at 18:30. Bring friends, family, the kids, the adults, the teenagers, the aunts, uncles, grandparents: everyone you can!
