ISCT Sport | Term 1 Recap
With the term nearing its end and the last major fixture being played today, I thought there was no better time to do a term 1 sports synopsis.
Lots has happened in these last eight weeks; narrow draws, crushing defeats and sweeping victories. Sticking with the victories, the term started strong with some brutal wins across most sports, particularly the U16 girls’ basketball team coming away with a 25-0 win.
Basketball this term has been fantastic, with two clean sweeps against both Rondebosch and Westerford, and an overall win-rate of almost 70%. In fact, across all sports, ISCT remains 63% unbeaten, despite the heat and exams of this term.
We recently played host to an international match against the Kenyan school, Braeburn Mombasa, and although we unfortunately walked away with a loss and a draw, it was nonetheless a new and exciting experience.
Whilst the term has been tumultuous, with plenty of cancellations and a few close-calls – I’m looking at you, Mini Cricket – our teams performed consistently and with determination
