Fun at the Sunset Concert
On Tuesday the 19th of March ISCT had our annual sunset concert. Many ISCT families came out to support their classmates and children while the year twelves cooked some magnificent boerie rolls as we all got to watch the musicians of our school in full motion.
The key stage two choir showed up with a burst of energy conducted by Mr. Wright to kick off the evening. The glee club gave us a beautiful performance of the song “Titanic”. This time around a plethora of bands created by our very own students (and some staff) reared their heads with some truly exhilarating performances. The Night Stands, Terabytes and The Celestials are just a few of the bands who played this year. Robin (one of our singing teachers) gave us one of the most stunning and jaw dropping vocal performances I think anybody attending had ever seen. The crowd was in absolute awe as she used her years of experience to demonstrate what you can achieve through sheer dedication and practice. It was a rather emotional moment in the concert as Robin has now left our school after being recalled to perform in the worldwide tour of the renowned musical Phantom of the Opera once again. Hopefully she will be back to let us hear her again one day. Daniel and Dakota were the MCs of the night. The AV crew worked hard hours setting up and running the show. Cultural portfolio members were backstage organising performers and helping make sure the show ran as smoothly as possible. Well done to all the performers, staff, teachers, AV crew and backstage members for making this Sunset Concert one to remember. See you next year!
