Healthcare workers’ “Thank you” video
Last week the Head of Community Engagement at Herschel Girls’ School invited us to participate in the making of a ‘thank you’ video to show our appreciation for the healthcare workers of South Africa.
We were very excited to be a part of this but needed to ensure that Covid-19 regulations would be maintained. That being said, we thought that it would be best, and most memorable to have the whole Highschool feature all while social distancing. This was achieved by having the students line up on the school field standing 1.5metres apart.
On Wednesday during meeting period all the Highschool students met on the top field, and big cardboard letters were distributed amongst the different grades. Everyone then formed socially distanced lines on the bottom field, and held up the letters to spell out “thank you healthcare workers”. Once we were all ready, Mika’eel flew his drone above the field to capture a video of the whole message spelled out on the field.
ISCT is so grateful for the amazing healthcare workers that work everyday to keep our friends and family safe.
