ISCT Talent Show 2023
On Friday the 15th of September, the first PLG lead ISCT Talent show took Woodland Heights by a storm and truly exceeded any expectations that people had. The evening was a resounding success, highlighting the strong partnership between parents and the ISCT community while showcasing the remarkable talents of our brilliant students.
Supported by the new members of the High school cultural portfolio and the AV crew behind the sound desk, the stage was set and all it needed was a spectacular host – comedian Mr Siv Ngesi. Siv was a truly remarkable MC for the night and this was clear from the applause he received as he strutted onto the stage. After being introduced to our esteemed judges, the new Hawks cheerleaders lit up the stage with their immense enthusiasm and exceptional routine.
Throughout the night, the audience were treated to a wide variety of performances, ranging from a magic show, karate performance, piano pieces and even a rubix cube trickster! The calibre of acts was incredible, and the audience were left smiling by the end of the night. Off the stage, a Butler’s pizza stand, coffee cart and refreshment table were organised so that viewers alike could treat themselves throughout the evening.
Following a drizzle that had been around for the better part of the evening, as we were preparing for the high school category, rain struck. It was a disappointing end to the evening but the PLG and organisers for the event dealt with it smoothly and we were still able to enjoy a few more performances, while of course prioritising the safety of our performers. The winners of the respective categories were gifted with a variety of different vouchers as prizes, and by the smiles on their faces, all the hard work and dedication truly seemed to be worth it!
As a community, we are so proud of every single one of our performers for the night, and inspired by their bravery and courage to stand up on stage and give it their all. By the end of the night it was evident that the student talent show was more than just a showcase of abilities; it was a celebration of the incredible talents that make our school so unique.
