High school sanitary pad drive
Following the sanitary pad drive run by Elizabeth and the year 11s at the end of last year, the Community service portfolio decided to run a pad drive on a bigger scale, for the whole high school, this term.
From the 22nd of February until the 12th of March the Community service portfolio set up a collection box and encouraged students to bring in sanitary pads, and we managed to collect 2 big boxes full. These were donated to the Women’s shelter movement, a group focused on sheltering women and their children who are victims of gender based violence, and they were very grateful for the donations.
