2025 Year 9 Tour

On September 1st, the Year 9s set off on the adventure of a lifetime. A 5-day tour exploring the wonders of the Western and Eastern Cape. We visited Oudtshoorn, Tsitsikamma and Wilderness, each location having some new and exciting treasures for us to learn about.
While this trip serves as a break after the lengthy movie project, it also marks the end of our KS3 journey. It was expertly planned and executed by Ms. Kolesky, whom we are forever grateful for. We toured the breathtaking Cango Caves, visited the Wilderness Ranch, and even attended a formal dinner.
The most exhilarating part of the trip was zip-lining through Tsitsikamma. Gliding through centuries old trees 30 metres above the forest floor was a thrilling experience that definitely helped some people get over their fear of heights, and I’m sure that it’s one my classmates and I are never going to forget.
Although this experience was nothing short of wonderful, we did come across an unexpected setback. When we arrived at our final accommodation, the Wilderness Hotel, we found that it was being renovated. Despite this, our amazing teachers still managed to relocate us to a new location in an extremely short span of time.
Tour was and will always be a major highlight of the school calendar, giving Year 9 students unforgettable experiences and lifelong memories. A big thank you to Ms. Gowar, Mr Hlophe, Mr James and Mr. Diemas. An especially huge thank you to Ms. Kolesky for planning and organising this wonderful tour and making this year’s trip such a memorable one.
