Sports Day 2022

On Friday the 11th of February, the House Captains were able to bring back ISCT’s beloved Sports Day. After the pandemic put athletics into an abrupt hold for over a year, all three houses, Draco, Titan, and Orion, were able to come together again and fiercely compete for the winning title and trophy, as well as the Spirit Cup for the team with the best cheer.

The infamous mile run sparked the start of the event, followed by a variety of other competitions such as 100-400 meter races, the relay and medley race, tug of war, sack race, and more. Some teachers even participated in a few events, which was very humorous and fun to watch. Our house captains did an astounding job at organizing each race and getting everyone in place, while the fundraising portfolio worked hard at managing their tuck shop available to everyone present.

One of the highlights of the day was when one of our very own Orion house captains, Mikaeel, broke 3 records, outpacing every one of his competitors. The event ended with the announcing of the winners, and with the closest scores ISCT has ever had, Draco and Orion tied for first place, and Titan won the Spirit Cup. In short, Sports Day was a huge success, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say the day was filled with joy and glee as covid has calmed down and we were able to rejoice in such a lovely day together.
