Valedictory 2019
It has been exactly a week since the 2019’s official Valedictory service, an annual ceremony where students, teachers and parents all gather to celebrate and send that year’s Grade 12s off.
After the Year 12s entered St John’s Church we began the ceremony by singing our traditional Valedictory songs and listening to some very moving speeches and Bible readings from guest speakers as well as graduating pupils. Each of the Year 12s were handed a rose by their form tutor and walked back out the church.
Many hugs were exchanged and photographs were taken after the ceremony outside the church. Although we will all miss the Year 12s, we know that they will go on to do great things with their skills and their education – which we’ve seen in their excellent authoritative abilities as both prefects and portfolio leaders. Well done, Year 12s – you have every right to be very proud of your successful school careers!
