Year 7 Integrated Lunch
This year’s Year 7 Integrated Lunch took place on the 4th of October. The Integrated Lunch is an event where students are put into groups and assigned a country. They then have to cook a 3-course meal with the cultural food from that country; choreograph a traditional dance; use cultural decorations on their table and research the country’s history and geography. The Year 7s worked very hard on this project – and it shows! From the beautiful decorations, to the delicious food, to the creative dances., the event was truly spectacular. The groups for this year’s Integrated Lunch were: Morocco, the Netherlands, Argentina, Italy, Japan, Greece, and Thailand. The Year 7s worked extremely hard to make this event amazing for the teachers. It took weeks of planning and dedication for the event to be such a success. The first two dances were from Mexico and Thailand, the second two were from the Netherlands and Italy, the third pair was Japan and Argentina and the fourth pair was Morocco and Greece. Each group did their best to give their guests the most authentic cultural experience. This year’s Integrated Lunch was in a festival format because of Covid-19. We couldn’t have proper dishes, so we prepared finger foods instead. Thank you Year 7s!
